Hello I am Gulzar and I lead dance days and retreats in Newcastle upon Tyne where I live and also in Sheffield, which was my home town. More recently I have been invited to lead days in Leicester at the Quaker Meeting House. I combine the Dances with other movement/sound/breath practices usually around a theme. There is a process and progression to the day and I aim to hold a loving and light and joyful space in which people can relax and be themselves very quickly, and open to their deeper essence if they choose to. I trained to lead the dances and walks with Philip Tansen O'Donahoe, who is a wonderful teacher and leader of the Dances. I have been a member of the Sufi Order for some years now, and Saki Lee has been my guide on this path. |
